No I am not Chick Young, but I can remember when Scottish football was good

Things Are Definitely Looking Up For Us Now

JINGS, Crivvens, Help Ma Boab - we won in Warsaw, who'd have thunked it. Like every life-long, fully-paid-up member of the Tartan Army, I rejoice at last night's success. We have come a long way under WGS; certainly, we have a long way still to go until we get to where we wante us to be, but, results like this are bringing back the swagger into Scottish football.

How sad, then, that the MSM television chapter chose NOT to cover the game. I understand a pretty indifferent stream of the game was available on-line, but, I didn't indulge.

Last night's win will, hopefully, convince us we can win again in Warsaw, when it matters in the European qualifiers later in the year. It will, however, stiffen Polish sinews, they now know the days of writing-off Scotland before a ball is kicked are over. I'd happily settle for a draw when the real game is played this autumn.

And, great goal by skipper Brown. Am I alone in thinking, he is a more-mature player when leading his country than his club? Which is no bad thing.

IF YESTERDAY was a good day for the Tartan Army, it was a bad one for the Donegal branch of the Celtic Family, inasmuch as their Obsession didn't, as predicted, fall into administration.

Ach well, a modest amount of journalist acumen, and an Obsession with a team other than the one you claim to support gets you so-far, but, as old Abe Lincoln observed some 150-years ago, you can fool some of the people all of the time.....etc.

I SEE football's self-appointed Master Race scored a convincing 1-0 win over Denmark last night. With the World Cup rapidly coming out of the far horizon, the lieges are starting to believe, which is always dangerous for the men in white.

I continue to forecast - it will all end in tears, again.
